Fees, Payment and Insurance

If we do not participate with your insurance carrier, payment in full is expected at the time of your visit. You will receive a detailed bill to submit to your insurance company. Copays are due at each visit. Please remember that insurance is considered a method of reimbursing the patient for fees paid to the doctor and is not a substitute for payment. It is your responsibility to pay deductibles, co-insurance, copays and any other balance not paid by your insurance company. It is the patient's responsibility to be knowledgeable about their insurance coverage and limitations.

For many years our practice did not charge for copies, and absorbed the costs of copying. Unfortunately, rising administrative and copying costs has forced us to change this policy. The Connecticut legislature recognized that medical offices cannot continue to absorb these costs, and set the fee at sixty-five cents per page and that we have thirty days in which to gather the records.

Questions about billing should now be directed to Nuemd 678-275-8379.
